West New York Mayor Felix Roque, a Cuban native, exclusively told Hudson County View that he does not support President Obama’s plan to restore diplomatic relations with Cuba, though he respects the president and the American democracy we live in.Â

Yesterday, President Obama announced yesterday that Alan Gross, a U.S. government subcontractor who has been held in Cuban prison since 2009, was released yesterday and he plans to ease economic restrictions that currently exist between the U.S. and Cuba.
“It’s one of those situations where a lot of Cuban Americans have suffered, have died … thousands of people in prison, which is not fair,” Roque said.
“The political prisoners over there, the ladies in white of the Castro regime … it’s sad for them and I can understand how aggravated they are and how the families are very upset, but you know what, he is the president and, ya know, we have to respect him.”
U.S. Sen. Menendez said Obama’s new approach “stinks†and that he “is deeply disappointed in the president,†while U.S. Rep. Albio Sires (D-8) stated “it’s a dangerous precedent to concede and utilize Americans detained abroad as mere pawns for trading.”
I wish Obama would trade Roque for one of those prisoners and send him back to Cuba.
Let the phony hypocrite live under a dictator like himself.
Cuba is North Korea “lite!”
Maybe Felix Roque will go back to Cuba after scamming and lying his way through Life her in America. Felix Roque and his family give us Cubans a bad name. Fidel is calling you Felix.
