A North Bergen man was arrested in Guttenberg after causing a disturbance via a verbal dispute in front of a night club last Sunday, authorities said.

On May 26th, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed a large group of individuals congregating and causing a disturbance in front of La Perla Del Sur, located at 6714 Bergenline Ave., they wrote on their police blotter.
While observing the group, officers observed a man initiate a verbal dispute with some other members of the crowd.
Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, however, the man initiating the dispute refused to cooperate and continued to scream at other pedestrians, while taking an aggressive fighting posture.
After he refused to comply with officers and continued this behavior, Jaime O. Guallpa, 38, of North Bergen, was arrested for disorderly conduct before being transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing.
Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Guallpa was issued his complaint summons and released from police custody, police said.
