In an editorial, Hudson County GOP Chair Jose Arango and Vice Chair for Communications Josh Sotomayor Einstein give their take on why “loyalty to progressive politics” continues to sabotage Democratic legislators in Trenton.
The recent Democrat Assembly Caucus memo on the coming electricity price hike shows how out of touch the woke progressives who have hijacked the Democrat Party are.
Bemoaning the skyrocketing increase of up to 20% on electricity bills, the Dems fail to take any responsibility. Their party has been in complete control of state government for eight years, and in the eight years prior – complete control of the state legislature.
Yet the Dems (true to their woke roots) attack utility companies, local monopolies that operate under super strict regulatory regimes the Dems created and (mis)managed for decades.
Insanely, the Democrat Assembly memo also claims that they support nuclear power, as if the road to affordable electricity from nuclear power was blocked by Republicans rather than constant ‘progressive’ Democrat fearmongering.
Demonstrating how truly detached they are from free enterprise facts and blinded by their loyalty to ‘progressive’ politics, the Democrat Assembly memo states that, “we have led the nation in efforts to create clean energy, which would make New Jersey energy independent while creating thousands of good paying, middle class jobs here at home.”
They are either deluded far worse than anyone knew or are explicitly lying.
Writing an angry memo on electricity prices set to rise 20% because of their own policies while patting themselves on the back for all their failed “efforts” is beyond insulting to the people of NJ.
The reality is electricity, and other costs will continue to grow if the state capital is run by tax, spend, and chase progressive Democrats.
They raise taxes, spend on woke pet projects, and progressively chase more residents and jobs out of state. In the meantime, NJ has real issues – housing affordability, job creation, crumbling infrastructure, the rise in crime, and of course skyrocketing electricity costs.
Yet woke Democrat “leaders” ignore the issues they create, either by action or neglect, and instead applaud themselves for banning new gas appliances and mandating electric ones.
Electing Republicans to the Assembly on the other hand, would mean lowering the cost of living by decreasing taxes, increasing housing stock by eliminating onerous regulatory regimes, fixing the roads, locking up career criminals, and allowing new power plants to be built to lower utility costs.
