The North Bergen municipal government website updated their total number of confirmed cases to 24 this evening, up eight from yesterday.

They announced over the weekend that their tally would be updated daily, along with the overall totals for the county and state. However, they are no longer providing basic cursory info for each patient, a practice that is becoming commonplace across the state.

Additionally, the Town of West New York now has 16 coronavirus cases, the first public statistical update they’ve provided since announcing their second case on March 15th.

Meanwhile, Union City confirmed 14 COVID-19 patients overall, with Weehawken staying static with eight – the same figure that had posted yesterday.

Guttenberg Mayor Wayne Zitt announced the town’s first case today as a 26-year-old man.

“The resident is a 26-year-old male and is currently recovering at home. The Health Department is currently working to conduct a thorough investigation to identify other individuals with whom the resident may have come in contact. Officials will then contact them in order to provide the necessary support and guidance,” he wrote in a letter to residents.

“Guttenberg is a strong community, but this confirmed case is a reminder to us all that we are not immune from current public health concerns. However, all residents can make deliberate efforts to flatten the curve of virus transmission by practicing social distancing.”

As a whole, that brings the total number of patients made public in North Hudson to 63, accounting for about of a third of the countywide tally announced by the New Jersey Department of Health this afternoon: 190.

To date, other municipalities have released the following:

• Jersey City – 53

• Hoboken – 25

• Bayonne – 7

• Kearny – 5 (including one fatality)

• Secaucus – 5

Total – 158
