Dear Editor,

As a seasoned educator with two decades of experience, parent of two young JCPS children and 3rd Vice President/PAC Chairman of the Jersey City Education Association, I am compelled to voice my unwavering support for the re-election of Congressman Rob Menendez in the Democratic primary.

Congressman Menendez has consistently demonstrated his dedication to improving the lives of families and advancing the cause of education, making him the ideal representative for our community in the 8th Congressional District.

One of Congressman Menendez’s significant achievements is his introduction of the Parental Workforce Training Act. This groundbreaking legislation establishes a $10 million pilot program aimed at subsidizing child care expenses through federal grants to local workforce boards.

By alleviating the financial burden of child care, this initiative empowers parents to pursue educational and career opportunities, ultimately strengthening our workforce and economy.

Moreover, Congressman Menendez has been a steadfast advocate for making education more accessible and affordable for all Americans.

He has lent his support to critical bills such as the Keep Our Promise to America’s Children and Teachers Act and the Universal School Meals Program Act.

These initiatives seek to ensure equitable access to quality elementary and secondary education, regardless of socioeconomic status, thereby fostering a more inclusive and prosperous society.

Furthermore, Congressman Menendez has been instrumental in addressing the student debt crisis plaguing countless individuals across the nation.

His cosponsorship of the College for All Act and the Loan Forgiveness for Educators Act underscores his commitment to relieving the financial burden on students and educators alike.

By expanding access to higher education and easing the burden of student loans, Congressman Menendez is championing the cause of future generations and investing in the prosperity of our nation.

In light of these accomplishments and his unwavering dedication to education and families, I urge residents of the 8th Congressional District to re-elect Congressman Rob Menendez on June 4th.

His proven track record of advocacy and leadership makes him the best choice to represent our community’s interests in Washington.

Sincerely,

Mike Greco
JCEA 3rd Vice President
JCEA PAC Chairman
