“These vibrant crosswalks serve as a powerful symbol of awareness, diversity, inclusion, and support for the LGBTQ+ community. By painting these crosswalks, we aim to promote LGBTQ+ visibility and equality. We hope that every person who crosses this rainbow path feels our love and support as we celebrate their identity!,” Hudson Pride Executive Director Elizabeth Schedl.

“A heartfelt thank you to the County Executive, Craig Guy for supporting us and this dream. Also to all the amazing volunteers, and political leaders who came out and joined us in painting! Your support means the world to us.”

She also thanked community leaders and supporters, U.S. Rep. Rob Menendez (D-8), former Gov. Jim McGreevey, Jersey City Ward E Councilman James Solomon, and Hoboken Councilwoman-at-Large Emily Jabbour for participating.

The Hudson Pride office in Jersey City is located in Journal Square, located at  3000 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 306, and they plan on opening a second location in Union City by the end of the year.
