“We are revamping and rededicating ourselves to do the grassroots work needed to engage and energize voters. This is about invigorating our diverse constituencies and committee people in a meaningful way,” Guy, also the Hudson County executive, said in a statement.

“Organization is about people and results, and bringing on Storm is about putting our money where our mouth is to invest in outreach and our communities. The people of Hudson County deserve a responsive county Democratic party, and Storm has the skill, capacity, and experience needed to take us to the next level.”

Skill succeeds Julietta Vogt, who had served as the HCDO executive director since June 2018. Vogt was also Guy’s deputy chief of staff until she resigned on Tuesday, as only HCV reported.

In that story, Wyche was identified as the frontrunner to be the next executive director for the HCDO.

Wyche’s professional experience includes EMILYs List, the campaigns of U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-5), Gov. Phil Murphy, First Lady Tammy Murphy, and Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco.

She has also served as a member of the boards of the non-profit We the People: Embrace, Empower, Engage, as well as the Young Democrats of Bergen County.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Hudson County Democratic Organization under the leadership of Chairman Craig Guy,” Wyche added.

“This is a new era with a vision of building and empowering, that will emphasize the strong Democratic values held by the residents of Hudson County. I am excited to get to work strengthening relationships, educating voters, and responding to the needs of the members of the Democratic party.”
