The event will occur on Thursday, March 27th, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., on the northeast corner of Washington and Third Streets, the city said in a Nixle alert.

Representatives from the HPD Traffic and Transportation Unit will be available to discuss various issues related to pedestrian and traffic safety in Hoboken.

All residents are welcome to stop by for conversations, to ask questions, and present concerns. Feedback gathered at this event will help the HPD plan for future public safety improvement initiatives.

The Hoboken Parking Utility (HPU) will also be represented, with staff on site to register E-bike delivery riders in accordance with municipal code and provide them with mandatory safety vests.

In addition, the Hoboken Fire Prevention Bureau will be on hand, to help educate the public about the City’s new lithium-ion battery fire safety law.

This prohibits the charging and/or storage of a lithium-ion powered battery or a lithium-ion battery powered mobility device in common areas of most residential buildings and also prohibits the sale, repair, and/or use of second-hand lithium-ion batteries.
