The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the West New York Police Department are investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Saturday morning.

The 40-year-old female victim reported she encountered an unknown man sometime around 1:30 a.m. in the area of Hudson Avenue and 51st Street. The woman reported the man later grabbed her by her hair and then sexually assaulted her.
No arrests have been made at this time and this matter is actively being investigated by the HCPO SVU and the West New York PD.
