“I’m teaching High School students video & radio production in our North Bergen NJ studio, the hope is these kids will receive College/University scholarships or if they elect not to continue their education, they will have the experience from our studio program to get employment with the major motion picture studios in New Jersey & New York,” wrote producer Pat O’Melia in the GoFundMe page description.

“They will be learning camera, edition, lighting, audio, green screen, graphic design, video switching, live broadcasting in studio & on location and more, also each student with get time in front of the cameras & mics in productions they will produce and every student will have a gig reel of all programs they worked on and the students names appear in the programs credit roll.”

The fundraising effort for the North Bergen-based studio has set a goal of $2,800.

HMG hosted debates for the Jersey City mayor and city council races this past election cycle, which they have done for local races for over a decade.

They also produce weekly shows including one hosted by this reporter, HCV Live & Uncut, which is a 30-minute program that typically features an interview with a local elected official, as well as a news recap from the past week.
