“Craig Guy is a leader who works for every individual and every organization, not just the biggest or the loudest. I have seen Craig’s dedication and compassion firsthand, and I know from that experience that his love for all communities within Hudson County is the immeasurable driving force behind his selfless leadership,” Singh said in a statement.
“Organizing within these communities to achieve positive outcomes is not easy work and having a partner like Craig out there fighting to try and improve people’s lives is a huge help for countless individuals and families. In these turbulent and sometimes difficult times, we need more people like Craig Guy, and I look forward to working to help him get re-elected.”
Guy announced he was seeking a second term on Monday, nearly a year out from the 2027 primary, and has since rattled off labor endorsements from LIUNA, the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, and now Singh.
Fresh off being named to a second term as chair of the Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO), the incumbent does not currently have any declared challengers or anyone who has even publicly expressed an interest in running just yet.
“The work Sherry and her organization do to bring communities together to ensure every individual is treated equitably, with dignity and respect, is a wonderful ethos we would all be better served adhering,” Guy added.
“I’ve long admired Sherry for her commitment and ability to accomplish things, even in the face of adversity, and we’ve tried to be helpful partners at the county building in that pursuit. Hudson County has countless dedicated individuals like Sherry Singh working hard each day to improve people’s lives and it is one of the great joys of my job to be able to pitch in wherever I can in those efforts.”
