Hudson Regional Health is announcing new chief hospital executives for the Bayonne University Hospital and the Hoboken University Hospital, respectively.

Dr. Michael Hochberg will serve as chief hospital executive at the HUH after successfully serving in the same role in Bayonne, with Dr. Vijayant Singh succeeding him.
“Dr. Hochberg and Dr. Singh are proven leaders who understand the needs of our communities and the excellence we demand in our facilities,” HRH Chairman Yan Moshe said in a statement.
“Their years of experience and proven accomplishments will help advance our mission of providing excellent health care in Hudson County.”
Hochberg joined BUH in early 2025 as chief hospital executive and under his leadership, the Peninsula City hospital saw an improvement in patient experience scores, reduced wait times for the Emergency Department, an increase in the average daily census, and hundreds of new credentialed physicians and nurses.
Singh is a board-certified internist, a fellow of ACHE and a certified physician executive with an MBA in Healthcare Management, most recently serving as HRH’s chief clinical officer and vice president of network development.
“I am confident that Dr. Hochberg and Dr. Singh, two highly qualified and well-respected healthcare professionals, will drive further improvements in Hoboken and Bayonne,” added HRH CEO and President Dr. Nizar Kifaieh.
The announcement comes as HRH is under fire due to Heights University in Hospital in Jersey City slated to close on Saturday night, with a lawsuit filed by hospital workers for violating state guidelines, as well as two back-to-back press conferences set for today.
