“This is more than just a financial milestone. It’s a powerful sign that Hoboken residents are ready for change and deeply invested in the future of our city,” Ramos said in a statement.

“What stands out most is how we got here: with the help of a large number of first-time donors and a significant wave of small-dollar contributions. This grassroots support reinforces that our message is resonating with the people who matter most—you.”

JLL Senior Vice President Nicholas Dinallo wrote a check for $2,600, JDA Group CEO Greg Dellaquella contributed $2,500, Alamo Insurance Founder and President Luis Alamo donated $2,000, and John Cassesa, of the Cassesa Management Group, gave $1,000.

The IBEW Local 164 Cope Fund got involved at $2,500, former Board of Education Trustee Hector Irizarry contributed $1,700, and former state Senate Majority Leader Bernie Kenny gave $1,200.

Additionally, Bijou Development Partner and CFO Dave Gaber contributed $3,000, former Council-at-large candidate Michael Flett gave $1,600, the Hoboken Firefighters IAFF Local 1078 chipped in $1,000, while the Hoboken PBA Local 2 showed their support with $500.

UA Plumbers Local 24 chipped in $2,000, Academy Lines (formerly Academy Bus) Vice President of Real Estate David Lehmkuhl donated $1,750, and Hudson County Schools of Technology Board Secretary Joey Muniz wrote a check for $1,000.

As for expenditures, Ramos spent a modest $15,901.72 between January 1st and March 31st, with Secaucus-based Vision Media Marketing paid a total of $11,460 for political consulting.

“Our campaign is focused on getting Back to Basics: delivering real results, and making sure City Hall works for everyone. The strong community response we’ve seen through our fundraising efforts proves that this isn’t just a campaign slogan—it’s a movement,” he added.

“And the momentum hasn’t stopped. Even now, weeks into the second quarter, we’re still seeing strong fundraising numbers. It’s a clear sign that energy and excitement around this campaign continues to grow. Thank you to everyone who chipped in, shared our message, and stood with us. We’re just getting started. With your continued support, we’ll bring Hoboken the leadership it deserves.”

Ramos currently has four opponents in the non-partisan November 4th mayoral contest: 2nd Ward Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher, 3rd Ward Councilman Mike Russo, Councilwoman-at-Large Emily Jabbour, and former U.S. Treasury official Dini Ajmani.
