Police: Brooklyn woman arrested for engaging in prostitution at Secaucus hotel

A Brooklyn woman was arrested for engaging in prostitution at a Secaucus hotel last week, according to Deputy Police Chief Joseph Baccola.

Luciana Martinez-Cortes, 29, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with promoting prostitution and engaging in prostitution, Baccola said in a statement.

He indicated that during a motor vehicle stop, Martinez-Cortes admitted to engaging in prostitution at the Red Roof Inn.

Further investigation revealed she posted on a website “that offers sexual services,” Baccola told HCV in an email.

As a result, Martinez-Cortes was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody, authorities said.
