Police: North Carolina man busted with handgun and ammo at Secaucus hotel

A North Carolina man was busted with a handgun and ammunition at a Secaucus hotel last week, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

Mark Hicks, 54, of Greenville, North Carolina, for possession of prohibited weapons (large capacity magazine) and possession of prohibited weapons (hollow point bullets), Miller said in a statement.

On October 19th at 10:23 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus police in regards to a handgun and ammunition found in a hotel room at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 875 Paterson Plank Road, on October 15th, Hicks was arrested on the aforementioned charges.

He entered the Secaucus Police Headquarters, located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road, for the purpose of turning himself in.

He was processed for the complaint summons and was released from custody, police said.
