“This month he would have been turning 2. He was such an intelligent little boy who loved his sisters. I’m hoping you all can help in providing for his funeral anything counts. Thank you all in advance. God bless and remember tell your loved ones everyday how much they mean to you life is too short.”

Rodriguez added that the money will go towards getting the family new belongings since everything was lost in the fire.

The campaign, which was started just three hours ago, is already more than halfway towards its goal: raising $5,161 of their targeted $10,000.

Eddie’s father was badly injured in the fire as he attempted to save his young son, who perished in the blaze.
