“I’ve spent my life fighting to make Jersey City better for every resident in every neighborhood, and our campaign is gaining momentum because the voters see my record and want a Mayor who will always stand up for them,” O’Dea said in a statement.

“I’m excited to continue reaching more Jersey City residents with our message and to keep building the Our City, Our Choice movement.”

O’Dea is the second mayoral candidate to hit the airwaves, following Ward E Councilman James Solomon earlier this month, and following the launch of his own digital ad campaign.

In the past week, the Hudson County Chronicles deemed O’Dea the clear winner of a debate hosted by the Jersey City NAACP and he has sparred with former Gov. Jim McGreevey, a mayoral opponent, about his record on affordable housing.

The other candidates in the non-partisan November 4th contest are Council President Joyce Watterman, former Board of Education President Mussab Ali, Police Officer Christina Freeman, and Kalki Jayne-Rose.
