Karim Durant, 37, of Newark, was charged with lewdness, disorderly conduct and improper behavior, according to Port Authority police spokesman Joe Pentangelo.

Yesterday at about 8:30 p.m., Port Authority police were at the Harrison PATH station canvassing for a suspect described as wearing a black and purple rain coat, green plaid pajama pants and red and black Nike sneakers, authorities said.

It was reported that the suspect had exposed himself onboard the PATH train to two victims in separate incidents.

When officers arrived, they saw the suspect walking on the street and took him into custody, officials said.

The first victim stated that the suspect entered a Newport Station bound train and sat near her, exposing himself while staring at her. Meanwhile, the second victim claimed that the suspect had “touched himself inappropriately,” police said.

The second victim further stated that  she saw the suspect exit the train at Harrison Street after she had shouted at him to stop during the encounter. Neither of the victims suffered any injuries, authorities said.
