St. Michael’s church in Jersey City hosted a meeting of the local NAACP and Urban League focusing on stopping violence and creating job and business opportunities within the black community. Assemblyman Charles Mainor (D-31) spoke about the need for the community to frequent black owned business, an offensive painting, and how the public school system is a pipeline to prison.
