Jersey City residents, Asm. Mainor air frustrations at NAACP/Urban League meeting

Residents aired their frustrations with the culture within the black community, as well as the failures of the Fulop Administration to provide safe streets, create job opportunities, and provide city contracts to black-owned businesses.

St. Michael’s church in Jersey City hosted a meeting of the local NAACP and Urban League focusing on stopping violence and creating job and business opportunities within the black community. Multiple residents aired their frustrations with the culture within the black community, as well as the failures of the Fulop Administration to provide safe streets, create job opportunities, and provide city contracts to black-owned businesses. Assemblyman Charles Mainor (D-31) spoke about the need for the community to frequent black owned business, an offensive painting, and how the public school system is a pipeline to prison.
