Jersey City mayoral hopeful Jim McGreevey has scheduled four Town Halls in the next five days to hear residents’ concerns about the city.

“This past month, we embarked on our second ‘Listening Tour,’ where we heard our neighbors’ care and practical concerns for Jersey City,” he said in a statement.
“Every conversation reiterated that our people, families, and communities must be preserved, supported, and uplifted to protect Jersey City’s future. I am honored to invite you to our upcoming Town Hall Meetings to discuss your concerns further.”
Tonight’s meeting will be held at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Parish Hall, located at 99 Broadway, between 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Tomorrow, during the same time frame, the event will be held at the Mt. Pisgah AME Church Sanctuary, which is at 354 Forrest St. Then, on Sunday, an event will be held at the Barrow Mansion, 83 Wayne St., from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
The fourth and final McGreevey Town Hall for this month will be at the Monumental Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, located at 121 Lafayette St., on Monday, October 28th between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
“[Today], we hold a Town Meeting at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. It’s an opportunity to raise concerns, look to solutions, and bring healthy, good change to Jersey City: affordability, good schools, safe and clean streets. It’s our City. Blessings,” he wrote on Facebook.
At tonight’s event, he will be joined by his Ward B council candidate, Efrain Badilla Orleans.
With Mayor Steven Fulop seeking the governor’s seat instead of a fourth term, McGreevey is in a field of five to succeed him.
Also in the mix for the non-partisan November 4th, 2025 contest are Ward E Councilman James Solomon, Hudson County Commissioner Bill O’Dea (D-2), Council President Joyce Watterman, and former Board of Education President Mussab Ali.
