At Wednesday night’s Jersey City Council meeting an ordinance was introduced imposing a five minute limitation on all members of the public wishing to speak.
The measure passed on a 7-2 vote, with Council Preisdent Rolando LaVarro and Councilman Khemraj “Chico” Ramchal voicing opposition to the proposal.
Long-time Jersey City council attendee Yvonne Balcer voiced her opposition to the ordinance, saying council meetings were mismanaged.
