A homeless man was found dead in Hoboken’s Church Square Park this morning and police say his death “doesn’t appear to be suspicious at this time.”
“Earlier this morning, our department responded to an unresponsive homeless male in Church Square Park. Both medical and police units responded however he was unfortunately pronounced deceased on-scene,” Det. Lt. Jonathan Mecka said in a statement.
“Our detectives are looking into the incident which doesn’t appear to be suspicious at this time.”
Hoboken Patch first reported the incident this morning and noted that police had set up a tent in front of a park bench with an ambulance parked nearby around 8:15 a.m.
