CarePoint CEO serving as chair of inaugural AAPI Origin World Health Congress

“The inaugural World Health Congress will be a wonderful opportunity for our community to gather together, learn, network and help each other fulfill our mission of providing the highest quality, most compassionate care to our patients.”

Kicking off yesterday, the event is expected to draw over 3,000 attendees, including international celebrities and leading physicians.

Invited dignitaries at the event include U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, physician and television personality Dr. Mehmet Oz, American Medical Association President Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld, Indian Politician and Social Innovator Smriti Irani, state Senator Vin Gopal (D-11), New York Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar, and New York City Council member Shekar Krishnan, among many others.

The theme of the AAPI World Health Congress is Beyond Boundaries: The Confluence Of Medicine and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on the integration of AI, technology and the human interface.

The event aims to unite healthcare providers, entrepreneurs, financial bodies and policymakers to pave the way for future global health.

Founded in 1982, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin represents a conglomeration of more than 80,000 practicing physicians in the United States.
