Genao, who was appointed to the board in December 2018, is also an aide for state Senator (D-33)/Mayor Brian Stack in both of his elected capacities, as well as a planning board commissioner.

Her appointment was unanimous (7-0) at yesterday’s reorganization meeting.

She takes over for Pena, who was first appointed in 2003 and began serving as president in 2008. She opted to step down for undisclosed reasons at the end of March, as HCV first reported.
