“In Bayonne, we have nine (9) residents who are currently listed as COVID-19 Positive. These numbers are trending down. There are currently two (2) residents who are Covid-19 positive and admitted to the Bayonne Medical Center,” the city’s office of emergency management announced today.
“Being vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself from serious illness, should you contract the virus. Bayonne has administered 55,524 doses of vaccine, equating to 61% of our adult population, and 45% of our population over the age of 12 receiving at least one dose.”
They further stated that the veterans stadium testing site, which has been open since March 26th, will be open for one final day on Sunday, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
This is becoming commonplace in Hudson County with vaccination rates on the rise, with Hoboken closing their mass testing site last week.
The Peninsula City has been operating a vaccination site out of the Rich Korpi Ice Skating Rink since April 15th and OEM says that Moderna vaccines will be administered to adults on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with Pfizer available for anyone over the age of 12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The site is open on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., with walks ins being accepted until 3 p.m. Those seeking to book an appointment in advance can call 201-537-4818.
