“Jose Marti STEM Academy continues to exceed expectations in providing students with world class STEM education,” Superintendent of Schools Silvia Abbato said in a statement.

“Our students’ accomplishments at this year’s STEM Showcase speak volumes about the incredible talent within our school and the strong foundation we are building for the future. I am incredibly proud of their achievements, and I remain committed to supporting them as they excel in their academic pursuits and beyond.”

The Platinum Award winner, Lehansa Marambage, will represent Jose Marti STEM Academy at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Columbus, Ohio.

This marks the second consecutive year that JMSA has had a Platinum Award winner, following the success of last year’s National Competition in Los Angeles, California.

Additionally, Diana Benitez was a gold medal winner, Helen Clauss, Vanessa Mejia, Darla Murillo, and David Rivera were silver medal winner, while Hazel Bonilla received an honorable mention recognition.

“We are extremely proud of our students’ accomplishments, which continue to exceed expectations year after year,” added Jose Marti STEM Academy Principal Rudy R. Baez.

“These remarkable young individuals are not only excelling academically, but they are also embodying the innovative spirit that will drive the future of STEM. The future is indeed in good hands with these passionate and creative students. We are excited to see them push the boundaries of what is possible and continue to make waves in their respective fields.”
