Ukrainian Jersey City, a nonprofit group, will host their 5th Annual Vyshyvanka Charity 5K Run/Walk at J. Owen Grundy Park on Sunday, August 24th at 9 a.m. to raise funds for the Ambulances for Ukraine project.

The annual event honors Ukraine’s independence, celebrates cultural resilience, and raises awareness for humanitarian causes — all while bringing together runners, walkers and allies in a spirit of hope and camaraderie, the group said in a statement.
Participants are encouraged to wear traditional embroidered shirts, known as vyshyvankas, proudly wave Ukrainian flags, and show their support through movement.
“A large community turnout will send a strong message of solidarity to those impacted by the conflict in Ukraine as well as showcase the rich Ukrainian heritage located within Jersey City,” according to Ukrainian Jersey City.
The organization has already provided 21 ambulances and evacuation vehicles to the cause, with two more undergoing repairs before being shipped overseas.
Additionally, all registered participants will receive a special branded keepsake and anyone interested in participating can register here.

If they love Ukraine so much shouldn’t they be fighting for it, over there? Oh it is the money you say, that is the reason, they are here, to leech off of us. Good to know.
The biggest war in Europe since WWII causing instability around the world with the ChiCom-Russia-Mullahs Alliance and now North Korea propping up Putin’s War.
North Korea is sending military hardward and TROOPS who are no fighting in Europe.
No one asked you to be ignorant but here you are. Ukraine’s self-defense is not a partisan issue.
You want stability?, try and mind your own goddamned business and keep your mouth shut. See how that works.
If you don’t like to be criticized for your terrible opinions, don’t open your mouth.
I dio not think you wanted stability. You just want people to kill each other. Got it Todd.
Being a dup for the Kremlin is one thing; that’s as old as the Soviet and Nazi dupes in US history.
Maybe when you act like a jackal, Angelo, at least stop taking the Lord’s name in vain.
If you’re so pro-Putin, you don’t have to give them money. It’s a fundraiser for ambulances.
Are you going to send your kids to fight and die for the Ukrainian cause when the times comes, mouth? Didn’t think so, all talk no action.
You might be happy with a dictator at the head of an oligarchy of billionaires, but some of us are willing to put our money where our mouth is: like providing ambulances for the people being bombed by an aggressive imperialist right-wing tyrant, but then again I’ve just described your utopia.
I am going to put you in for a commendation with the big guy upstairs, you know the one you hate, how does that sound Mr goody two shoes?
A commendation from Mr. Can’t Fit Into His Shoes? He might keep over from congestive heart failure before it makes it to his gaudy fake gold foiled office.
Ukraine never asked for US troops. They’ve asked for the support promised when they agreed to give up nuclear weapons in 1994 with the UK and US guaranteeing its borders. Russia broke the agreement.
Your singular notion that supporting an ally’s self-defense and Western civilization is limited to only going to the battlefield shows your vacuous, limited thinking.
President Trump said that defensive posture requires Ukraine’s offensive action.

I am for minding my own business and trying to live in peace, the Ukraine war is about insatiable greed in those who have more than they will ever need and still want more……and you defend them and it is telling that you too are a money worshipper. You are not going to fight and die to make the rich richer, are you? You are just going to try to con some poor bastard to do your fighting for you. Your a great American and you are just like us and don’t you ever forget it. BAHA
Go lick boot in solitary silent comfort.
