Two young women were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after being shot in Jersey City last night, an official said.
Around 9:20 p.m. yesterday, Jersey City police responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Bergen and Lexington Avenue, according to Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.
The two victims, women ages 18 and 23, were taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police near the area of 11-15 Lexington Avenue.
The investigation into the shots fired incident is ongoing, Wallace-Scalcione said.
