Secaucus man, 70, arrested after threatening downstairs neighbor with kitchen knife

A 70-year-old Secaucus man has been arrested after threatening a downstairs neighbor with a kitchen knife, a dispute that began over a noise complaint, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

Mario Robiolio, 70, of Secaucus, was charged with terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and simple assault by menace, Miller said in a statement.

On January 1st at about 11:03 a.m., Secaucus police responded to the 800 block of 7th Street on a report of a dispute where one individual was reportedly being threatened with a knife.

Miller told HCV that the incident began over a noise complaint and escalated from there.

After being arrested and processed, Robiolio was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, authorities said.
