An attorney representing West New York Mayor Felix Roque is calling the state Attorney General’s Office’s indictment levied against the mayor earlier today “ridiculously false charges.”

“Mayor Roque is innocent of the charges and looks forward to once again clearing his name from what are ridiculously false charges,” Christopher D. Adams, of the Holmdel law firm Adams, Buchan & Palo, LLC, said in a statement.

“The State’s case rests entirely on the word of a convicted liar and cheat, who the Attorney General’s Office has incentivized to make more lies in exchange for a reduced sentence.”

“I wouldn’t trust Rehan Zuberi if he told me his name – in fact, the State knows that he has lied about that in the past too.”

Roque is accused of accepting $250,000 in cash bribes and other kickbacks in exchange for referring patients to a specific medical imaging company.

  1. hehehehe .. Once again the voice tapes don’t lie. Roque Lies. Lets just hope Bob Menendez dosen’t get to the Judge in this case like before.

  2. >>> “The State’s case rests entirely on the word of a convicted liar and cheat, who the Attorney General’s Office has incentivized to make more lies in exchange for a reduced sentence.” >>>

BTW, John Gotti got convicted on the word of a mob hitman who murdered 19 people. The jury believed him.
Watch out, Felix, they might believe this guy, too. lol

  3. This is going to help all the other crooks Roque knows. When the time comes Victor Coco and others will say Roque demanded Bribes and favors. The real bad guys are now going to jump on Roque in their Indictments and be off the hook. This is how all will be cleared in the future charges. And Roque will walk.
