Prosecutor’s office recovers body from the Hudson River in Jersey City

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that they recovered the “lifeless body of a male” from the Hudson River in Jersey City.Prosecutor's Office

“I can confirm that on Saturday, July 30th, shortly after 7:00 p.m., the lifeless body of a male was recovered from the Hudson River in Jersey City,” Assistant Hudson County Prosecutor Leo Hernandez said via email.

Hernandez added that identification and autopsy results are pending so no further information of the deceased male was being released at this time.

According to police radio transmissions, the body was recovered in the portion of the Hudson River off of Exchange Place in Jersey City.

No further information was available as of Sunday afternoon.
