A 19-year-old Jersey City man was fatally shot this afternoon, with a 21-year-old man getting struck by gunfire as well, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The two men were shot in the area of 319 Forrest St. at approximately 1:25 p.m. today, where a 19-year-old was shot and killed, the Prosecutor’s Office revealed on their Twitter page.
A 21-year-old was also shot during the incident, but sustained non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
According to sources, both men were treated at the Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health, where the 19-year-old passed away.
No further information was immediately available.
