Zuleica Martins, 41, of West New York, was arrested earlier this month on charges of theft by deception and falsifying records, Musella said in a statement.
In March, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received a complaint against Martins from her former employers alleging the unauthorized theft of funds from their music production company’s bank account in Fort Lee, authorities said.
The subsequent investigation revealed that MARTINS conducted numerous, unauthorized ATM withdrawals and debit card purchases, wired funds into her personal bank accounts, and altered the financial bank records to conceal these transactions, officials said.
The total amount of the theft was in excess of $75,000.
On August 9th, Martins was arrested by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the West New York Police Department, police said.
Her first court appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack is scheduled for tomorrow, August 21s, at 8:30 a.m.
