A 25-year-old Weehawken man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl he met on Instagram last year, Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello announced.

Richard Moran, 25, of Weehawken, is charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, Mello said in a statement.
Following his arrest, he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny pending his first court appearance.
The crimes occurred on various dates in June 2025 at the defendant’s residence when the victim was 15 years old. The defendant met the victim through Instagram, authorities said.
