Amaury Deleon Cabrera, 21, of Jersey City, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal sexual contact, Suarez said in a statement.

Deleon Cabrera was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City just before 5:30 p.m. yesterday.

The sexual assaults occurred after the defendant met the teen while working in a local corner store near the victim’s residence in the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood. The two then went to Berry Lane Park on multiple occasions where the assaults occurred.

Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Jersey City Police Department for the investigation and arrest.
