A Jersey City man, 20, was busted for selling a handgun to to an undercover police officer on two separate occasions following a probe by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
Emerson Deline, 20, of Jersey City, is charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and two counts of unlawful disposition of a firearm, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.
He was arrested on Thursday, March 28th on Grand Street in Jersey City by members of the Narcotics Task Force. A Hudson County Superior Court judge granted the State’s motion for detention on Tuesday, April 9th.
During the investigation, Deline sold a handgun to an undercover police officer on January 4th and again on January 12th, authorities said.
