Authorities are seeking the attacker who fatally stabbed an 18-year-old man on the West Side of Jersey City last night, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

At approximately 8:55 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department received a report of a stabbing incident in the area of Duncan Avenue and Wilmont Street in Jersey City, Suarez said in a statement.
Upon arrival, responding officers located a male victim – later identified as Naseer Munroe, of Jersey City – with an apparent stab wound to the torso.
Munroe was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 10:00 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case.
