Hoboken police officers responded to ShopRite after a call regarding two shoplifters. The two suspects were being held by loss prevention, authorities said.

Loss Prevention workers told officials they observed Jesenia Garcia, 35 and homeless, take Dove soap products and placed them in a backpack being carried by Uvaldo Roman, 30, also homeless, without paying.

The two were arrested and transported to headquarters for processing and Roman was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, police said. They were both charged with shoplifting and Roman was also charged with bail jumping.

Both parties were processed and remanded to the Hudson County Rehabilitation Center.
