Police: Trenton man busted with 40 bags of heroin during traffic stop in Secaucus

A Trenton man was busted with over 40 bags of heroin during a traffic stop in Secaucus, where authorities also discovered that he had two outstanding warrants for $1,233.

Alejo Burgos, 44, of Trenton, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, according to Police Capt. Dennis Miller.

On Wednesday, June 27 at 9:32 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Burgos was arrested for possessing over forty bags of suspected heroin and 2 outstanding warrants totaling $1,233 from Camden and Pennsauken, police said.

Authorities did not specify why Burgos was pulled over and he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility after he was arrested.
