Misael Echevarria, 44, of North Bergen, was charged with making terroristic threats, causing a public alarm, and child endangerment, authorities said.

According to officials, he called into the school around 9:50 a.m. on Monday and threatened to “shoot up the school,” The Daily Voice first reported.

After being arrested, Echevarria was transported to the New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus for a psychological evaluation before being taken to the Bergen County Jail, police said.

The news website also noted that he took no action after making the call and that he was also charged with making terroristic threats in Union City back in 2007.
