Michael A. Regalado, 23, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of CDS (THC oil) and possession of CDS paraphernalia, Port Authority police spokesman Joe Pentangelo said.

At approximately 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Port Authority police were conducting bag safety checks at Journal Square in Jersey City when Regalado’s backpack was checked and he was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, officials said.

One-and-a-half pounds of suspected marijuana was recovered from the suspect: some of the marijuana was in raw form and some in cereal bars and brownies, authorities said. THC concentrated oil and paraphernalia was also found in the suspect’s possession.

Regaldo was arrested and charged without incident, police said.
