A man was caught with marijuana and an expandable billy club after Secaucus police took noted of a “suspicious vehicle” in a hotel parking lot, Chief Dennis Miller said.

On Monday, August 24th, at approximately 10:40 p.m., the Secaucus Police Department Anti-Crime Unit was patrolling the Red Roof Inn, located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway, and observed a man in a parked “suspicious vehicle,” according to Miller.
After an investigation, the police arrested a Conrad Layton, 33, of New York, New York, for
possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), possession with intent to
distribute CDS, possession of a prohibited weapon (expandable billy club), possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia, and possession of a weapon while in the course of committing the offense of possession of CDS with intent to distribute.
After being arrested, Layton was served his complaint summons being being released from police custody, authorities said.
