A Kearny man found asleep at the wheel in Hoboken early Monday morning with a last name of Ferrari was charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.

Ian Ferrari, 28, of Kearny, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, according to Police Det. Lt. Danilo Cabrera.
On Monday shortly after 2:00 a.m., Police Officer Harry Montalvo found a white Honda running, with its headlights on, parked in the area of 54 3rd St. with a man slumped over the steering wheel.
Montalvo along with Lt. Michael Costello, who arrived as his back up, approached the vehicle to investigate. Montalvo woke up the occupant who appeared to have been sleeping.
The driver was identified as Ferrari, who Montalvo suspected was under the influence of an intoxicant. As a result, Police Officer Domenick Allegretta responded and performed a standardized field sobriety test.
Allegretta determined that Ferrari was unable to safely operate a motor vehicle and he was then placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and transported to police headquarters.
There, Ferrari supplied the necessary breath samples for chemical testing to Police Officer Giovanni Cruzado. Ferrari received motor vehicle summons for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving
It would have been a much more interesting story if it was a man named Honda asleep in a Ferrari 😂

That’s will be thrown out ; the officers did not see him operating the vehicle , he may have realized how intoxicated he was , decided to just sleep it of and turned on his vehicle to stay warm…..they cannot provide he was actually operating the vehicle……assuming he was driving can make a a$$ out of them…tell Mr. Ferrari to get a good attorney…!!!
