Amanda Rivers, 27, of Jersey City, was charged with aggravated assault, according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.
Officers responded to the Bayonne Medical Center Emergency Department yesterday on a report of an assault on a staff member.
According to the 34-year-old victim, who works at the hospital as a nurse, while speaking with Rivers – who had entered the medical center for treatment – she became irate and violent and pushed the victim, causing her to strike her head on the wall.
As a result, Rivers was taken into custody at approximately 11:48 p.m. from the Bayonne Medical Center Emergency Department, authorities said.
I had experience with this medical center they left me screaming for one hour from pain without treatment although there is medical student witness this and he told them it is serious if you don’t have place for her ask the emergency to transfer her to another medical center they afraid and allow me to enter the doctor and the nurses hits me because I am screaming from pain refusing to give me medication or check me till I stop screaming and they hit me by their hands I called the police the police want to put me in jail and then they transferred me to another medical center I did an operation and if I late transferred to another medical center I am dead
This medical center is very dangerous for people who has accent there is no one in charge with mercy or wise to do his job no humanity at all and no responsibility towards human life
