Aidan Murray, 60, of Jersey City, was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, while Yosef Wisniewski, 53, of Hoboken, was accused of simple assault and disorderly conduct, according to Port Authority police spokesman Joe Pentangelo.

At about 2:30 pm yesterday, Port Authority police on duty near the Holland Tunnel were alerted by a motorist that two men were fighting, as the result of a traffic dispute, while stopped at a traffic light on Jersey Avenue and 12th Street, authorities said.

Police ran over to the location of the reported fight and saw both suspects out of their vehicles in the middle of the active roadway assaulting one another, officials said.

Wisniewski, the driver of a 2016 BMW had a laceration to his left ear, while Murray, the driver of a 2016 Dodge pick-up, had a laceration on his left cheek, as well as a cut on his right ear, police said.

They summoned an ambulance who treated both suspects, who then declined further medical attention, authorities said.
