Around 12 noon today, a call was made to McCabe Medical Center stating that a Hoboken High School student was attempting to jump out of a second floor window, according to Police Chief Kenneth Ferrante.

Noting that the call prompted “a massive response right away” from the Hoboken Police Department, led by Police Capt. Charles Campbell, Ferrante clarified that no one was actually trying to jump out of a window.

In reality, there was a verbal dispute going on involving parents, officials and a student that did not escalate into anything serious, Ferrante explained.

Hoboken Emergency Services also responded to the call.
