Police: Fairview duo caught shoplifting 40-inch, $500 TV from Secaucus

A Fairview duo was caught shoplifting a 40-inch, $500 TV from an undisclosed location in Secaucus last week, police said.

Frederick Rupp, Jr., 43, and Leonard Guardino, 47, both of Fairview, were both charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property, according to Police Det. Sgt. Michael Torres.

On Friday, August 19 around 12:31 a.m., Rupp and Guardino were caught by authorities after allegedly shoplifting a 40-inch television valued at $499.99.

Both men were stopped by East Rutherford police and subsequently charged with shoplifting and receiving stolen property, officials said.
