Police: Duo arrested for engaging in prostitution at Meadowlands Plaza Hotel in Secaucus

A duo was arrested for engaging in prostitution at the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel in Secaucus last week, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

On March 23rd at 10:11 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Ave.on a report of a theft, Miller said in a statement.

The call indicated that that $300 and keys to a BMW had been stolen by a woman. During the investigation, it became known that woman performs sexual activities in exchange for money and it is alleged that Williams paid her $200 in exchange for sexual activity.

As a result of the investigation, Yubelkys Silverio-Toribio, 39, of East Orange, and Jamall Williams, 45, of Teaneck, were both arrested for engaging in prostitution.

Additionally, Williams was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (cocaine).

They both issued their complaint summonses and were released from police
custody, authorities said.
