Shyrief Borders, 36, of Bayonne, was charged with disorderly conduct, according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.

Borders was taken into custody around 2:59 a.m. from the area of 48th Street and Broadway. Officers responded to Room 990 Bar and Lounge on a report of a large group fighting in the middle of the street.

Upon arrival of the officers, the majority of the group had already disbursed and begun to leave the area with the exception of three men, one of whom was Borders.

As officers ordered the men to leave the area, Borders refused and began arguing with and shouting at the officers, causing area residents to become alarmed and exit their homes.

Borders was given additional commands to leave the area, but ignored them as he continued his “tumultuous behavior,” leading to his arrest, authorities said.
