Dicks was taken into custody at about 7:11 p.m. from the area of 19th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard. Officers responded to the area on a report of a man, later identified as Dicks, striking people with a bat.

According to the two adult victims, while attending a BBQ in the yard of their residence, near the aforementioned intersection, Dicks and a victim began arguing.

Dicks ultimately left the yard, only to return with a bat. He then proceeded to strike
the victim about the body and head with the bat and also struck another victim in the wrist.

Officers responded to Dicks’ residence and placed him under arrest after he was positively identified as the actor. Both victims were transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries sustained, authorities said.
